Tens of thousands of students graduate from public and private Florida colleges and universities each year – more than 160,000 in 2011-2012 alone. To help Florida grads put their skills and knowledge to work for Florida businesses, Governor Rick Scott on May 10 announced the Hire Florida Grads campaign. Through a collaborative effort among Florida business, workforce and education leaders, Hire Florida Grads aims to connect fresh Florida talent to hiring Florida employers.
